This time I went to Amsterdam with a colleague. I did few photos taking the opportunity of the incredible warm and nice day. For this photo I did not use filters, instead I used the smooth reflection application available into the Sony camera. I was creative masking the sky by highlight the purple colour. Princengracht view - HDR

Amsterdam after work with my old A7II and Zeiss 24-70mm F4. I did few photos at the cross between Brouwersgracht and Pricengracht. This is from the Lekkeresluis bridge. The day was warm and mostly cloudy. For this photo I did not use filters, instead I used the Smooth Reflection application available into the Sony camera. This is a HDR composition with 3 shots at 1 stop distance each. i blended also few photo for the focus all range (are/mid/background). Comments welcomed!

Ijmuiden Peer under siege

This is a composition of multiple shots then rendered together to make the lightings pop and the storm surreal. We have 3 shot for the HDR rendering of the peer. 6 shots for the sea waves and 2 shots for the sky plus some idea from the web to build the cloud arc. I took me almost 2 days to compose and rethink the image. I can say I got completely soaked when I went back to the car but I am more than happy with the outcome. Camera, tripod and lens needed to be dried for a while

Paard van Marken

This is the famous lighthouse Paard van Marken, nearby Marken a village at the north of Amsterdam in Holland. The location is known for its beautiful sun-rises and sun-sets. This time I was there for the sun-set and blue hours. It was this summer and I have to admit there were tons of small flies, very annoying. The location is very quite and I will be back there during the winter when the water freeze making a even more special scenery. I did few shoots of the lighthouse and hope you like. This is a blending of 2 picture, one for background and one for the foreground to create a full field focus effect. Comments welcomed.

Ice Breaker 2

These are the icebreakers nearby Marken village, North of Amsterdam in Holland. The ice breakers are those things out of the water. I compose the scenery at the blue hours using the peer as leading in the breakers. This is a quite popular shot. I create an HDR composition and then I replaced the sky using another shot with long exposure. After the image was built I did not have done too much post processing beyond typical contrast, burn and dodge and few sharpening here and there. Comments welcomed.
